Flint River Technical College Commercial Truck Driving Program Graduates 13 Students on February 22, 2007

13 students graduated from Flint River Technical College Commercial Truck Driving program on February 22, 2007. Graduating from the new Straight Truck & Passenger Program is Katherine Davis of Meansville. The student with the Highest GPA in the class was David Riversof Thomastonand second Highest GPA was Rachel Tumlin of Manchester.

The Commercial Truck Driving program is a 7-week course designed to give students the ability to earn their Commercial Truck Driver’s License, and obtain a salary of $30,000 to $50,000 in the first year on the job.  The Commercial Truck Driving program is offered in Thomaston, Butler, Talbotton, and outside of Manchester. 99% of the graduating students from the program have received tuition assistance through the HOPE Grant.
